During my art studies I discovered my passion for picturesque detail-motifs in urban spaces and macro-photography as a passionate tool.
In 2014 I travelled to Rio and found breathtaking motifs there, including „Maria from Rio“, which is exhibited right now in the MONAT-gallery in Madrid. Her find represents the decisive moment from which I specialised in picking up motifs in the urban space and processing them into paintings.
Suddenly these small works of art were visible for me everywhere in the urban space; a microcosm of interesting fragments of colour and form opened up to me.
Since then I have loved studying cities for these fragments - these traces - with my companion, the camera.
The motifs are hidden on walls, in cracks, on posts and poles. Weathering and human alteration (like posters, graffiti, stickers etc.) create layers; at the same time they are ephemeral and therefore unique.
Every city tells its own story and shows its individual face through these faces. I love getting to know and analysing big cities in this way.
I would say that Iam particularly subtle and sensitive.
That doesn’t always make it easy for me; the world is often too loud, too fast and too much for me.
At the same time, I’m connected to art and an artistic view through my special permeability.
I think my works are soft and fine on the one hand and powerful and complex at the same time.
As if through a magnifying glass, details become visible, stories are told and the viewer can embark on a journey of discovery and sink into my enchanted pictures.
